The Wedge Tomb located at Ardaragh is said to date to the Bronze Age. The tomb is located immediately inside a field boundary and can be viewed from the public road.
The tomb is composed is partially collapsed, aligned NE/SW and is composed of 14 stones, two of which are capstones. The tomb has a portico at the western end and a main chamber of about 4m long with narrows from 3m to 2m.
The tomb is known locally as the ‘Druids’ Altar.’
